The Role of Universities for Ethnic Minorities in Transmitting Ethnic Cultures:A Case Study of Guizhou University for Ethnic Minorities

民族院校作为我国民族教育方针政策得以落实的重要阵地,不仅肩负着高等教育的基本工作,还需坚持、凸显其具有丰富民族文化资源的特色。结合贵州民族学院办学经验,论述了民族院校的独特地位:不仅是培养少数民族干部和各类专业人才的摇篮,更是传承中华民族文化的纽带。

Universities for ethnic minorities, where typically national policies of ethnic education are implemented, do not only serve the functions of institutions of higher learning but also must strive to maintain their strength in ethnic cultural resources. This paper reviews the operational experiences of Guizhou University for Ethnic Minorities and then expounds the unique function that universities for ethnic minorities serve in educating ethnic minority professional and managerial personnel and transmitting ethnic culture.
