The present situation and existing problems are described in China's rail refrigerated traffic. The development strategy and countermeasures are discussed in terms of establishment of service system in rail refrigerated traffic, alteration of organization mode for refrigerated traffic, development in both technical e-quipment of the kind and in intermodal traffic for pu- trefactive goods.
