On British Royal Geographic Society's Scientific Exploration to Main Peak Area of Changbai Mountain

摘要 英国皇家地理学会在1886—1915年的30年里,先后四次派遣会员来中国东北对长白山主峰地区展开考察,取得了一系列丰硕成果,更正了西方学术界以往对长白山的诸多错误认识,初步还原了长白山的历史面貌,揭开了国际长白山研究的序幕。 From 1886 to 1915,British Royal Geographic Society had sent its members to explore the main peak area of Changbai mountain four times,which acquired fruitful accomplishment,corrected many wrong knowledge about Changbai mountain in the western academy,primitively re-established the historical truth of the mountain,lifted the curtain on international Changbai mountain studies.
