An Exploration of Transnational Political Participation of Overseas Chinese against "Independence"——Centering around Association for Promoting Peaceful Reunification of China

近十余年来,在台海关系和国际形势的推动下,海外统促会的队伍不断发展壮大,组织机构日益健全。从工作对象来说,海外统促会以"三个延伸"为主要工作思路,着力构建全球最广泛的反"独"促统阵线;从工作方式来说,以重要会议和现代传媒为主要平台,宣传"和平统一、一国两制"的方针和反"独"促统的理念;从工作内容来说,密切关注台海关系和海内外"台独"、"藏独"、"疆独"等分裂势力的新动向,适时调整工作重点,力求反"独"促统更具针对性。海外统促会已成为中国反"独"促统运动的一支重要力量,为促进中国和平统一作出了重要而积极的贡献。

In the past decade,promoted by the cross-straits and the international situation,the overseas China’s Peaceful Reunification Association ( CCPPR) has become larger and the organization more sound. As far as the work object is concerned,the overseas CCPPR takes'three extends'as the main idea to construct the most extensive anti-independence front in the world. As for work style,it takes important meetings and modern media as the main platform to publicize the policy of'peaceful reunification and one country two systems'and the concept of opposing'independence'. As to the work content,it pays close attention to the new tread of cross-strait relations,'Taiwan independence','Tibetan separatist,''East Turkistan separatists'and other separatist forces, changes the emphasis in work to seek better results in opposing'independence'. The overseas CCPPR has become an important force in anti-independence movement and made great contributions to China’s peaceful reunification.
