The Impact of R&D Resource Input on Patent Output of Various Types of Colleges and Universities

采用微观层面的数据和更为综合的投入指标(R&D经费、R&D人员数和人员质量),系统分析R&D资源投入对不同类型高校专利产出的影响.研究结果发现不同类型高校专利产出的影响因素存在很大的差异性;R&D资源投入对不同类型高校发明专利产出的影响要大于其对专利总量的影响.为了最佳地配置各种R&D资源投入,对不同类型高校的专利产出提出了有效的建议.

Using micro-level data and more comprehensive input indices （R＆D expenditure, the quantity and qualifications of R＆D personnel） , it makes a systematic analysis on the impact of R＆D resource input on patent output of various types of colleges and universities. The results show that the factors which influence the patent output are quite different for various types of colleges and universities. It also shows that R＆D resource input has more influence on innovative pa- tent output than on overall patent. Finally, it puts forward some suggestions for various types of colleges and universities to improve their patent output in order to realize the optimal allocation of R＆D resources inputs.
