Contemporary Chinese American writer Maxine Hong Kingston＇s work has always been a bestseller in American literature; and it is the research focus in Chinese American literature as well. By studying large amount of document and setting out the detailed data such as the scale of study, publishing in journals and newspapers, research teams, objects of study, research perspective, this paper reveals the studying development of Maxine Hang Kingston＇s in current Chinese mainland. This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of domestic Maxine Hong Kingston~ work study from the perspective of narrative strategy, feminist criticism and cultural criticism, and points out a clear vein to the domestic studying development of Maxine Hong Kingston.
