This paper narrates the situations to draw up annual water diversion plan for irrigation in Jiamakou Irrigation District and its execution situations.The irrigation plan is made accrding to following steps.Firstly,according to the annual crops＇planting area,the irrigation quotas,the precipitation data presented by irrigation test station and the water efficiency of canal system in Jiamakou Irrigation District,the total annual water diversion amount is determined.Then,the annual water distribution proportion in every branch canal and in every main canal management section is equal to the percent obtained from dividing these branch canal＇s or these main canal management sections＇ annual actual mean water diversion amount in last 5 years by total annual water diversion amount of the whole district in the same years.
