Scientific and optimized graduate curriculums are essential to offer graduates an appropriate intellectual structure with assurance, which would steer and inspire their innovative competence in scientific research. One of the key factors to American successful graduate education is the constant updating and improvement in its course instruction and curriculums. By analyzing in depth the characteristics of American graduate curriculums, the paper proposes a number of proper suggestions to improve the general deficiencies of current graduate education in China.
