On the Dialectical Unity Between Rupture and Inheritance——Simple Analysis of the Modern Critical Theory of Western Marxism

西方马克思主义在近一个世纪的时间中,不断传承与开掘马克思的现代性批判精神,并且逐渐展示出自身现代性理论的独特魅力。总结西方马克思主义自身现代性理论的特征,我们可以将其简单地概括为时间维度辩证法与空间维度辩证法。西方马克思主义把两种辩证思维紧密结合在一起,揭示了"现代性"思维把人类的形而上的理想追求和对现实问题的理性批判融为一体的理论特质,这些思想家对现代性的这种特有的理解角度开拓了我们理解现代性的思维方式,为我们更深层地认识现代性提供了新的可能。

The western Marxism constantly inherits and initiates the Marxist modem critical spirit and gradually manifests the unique charm of its own modem theory in almost one century. Through summarizing the characteristics of the Marxist own modem theory, we can briefly generalize it into time dimension dialectics and space dimension dialectics. The western Marxism combines the two dialectical thoughts closely into a whole and reveals the theoretic traits of combining the human metaphysical ideal pursuit with the ra- tional criticism about practical problems by the ＂modernity＂ thought. Those thinkers＇ special perspective of understanding of modernity exploits our thought pattern of understanding modernity and provides new possibility for us to understand modernity more deeply.
