Some Chinese Characters for Academic Terms Should Be Resumed

有一些汉字,例如醣、朊和甾,在学术上有特定的含义,简易明了,曾经使用,目前被禁用了,但在《新华字典》上仍保留。建议恢复使用这些学术术语中特有的汉字。推而广之,一些特有的汉字在学术术语中应有一席之地。

Some Chinese characters, such as those of carbohydrate, protein and steroid, have been used in academic terms, but now are prohibited. These characters not only possess special academic meaning, but also are very simple and understandable. Moreover, they are still retained in XlNHUA ZlDIAN. The author suggests that these Chinese characters should be resumed in academic terms.
