摘要
词汇在语言技能的发展中具有举足轻重的作用。但是传统的词汇学习只重视掌握单词的读音、拼写、词形变化等表面层次,忽略了词汇蕴含的深层文化含义,使得词汇学习过程变得枯燥乏味。文化能力培养的缺失不利于学生语言交际能力的全面发展。在词汇教学中导入文化知识的学习,将极大地增强词汇学习的趣味性,调动学习者的积极性。
Vocabulary learning plays a crucial part in the development of language skills.The traditional vocabulary teaching attaches much importance on the surface structure of a word, such as pronunciation, spelling and inflection, but it often neglects the cultural connotation underlying the word. Consequendy, the course of learning vocabulary is considered as being tedious. The loss of cultural cultivation in the language leaming is detrimental to the all - round development of students' communicative competency. The cultural introduction in vocabulary teaching contributes much to amusement of English learning and to motivating students.
