创新是人的本质特性,也是人类特有的实践活动,具有人类生存方式的文化内涵。作为一种文化类型,创新文化是以创新活动为主题的文化形态,主要指人们理解创新、研究创新、推动创新的价值理性和行为取向。文化是城市的灵魂,建设创新型城市需要培育创新文化。只有当创新文化能够成为一个城市的主流文化的时候,支撑建设创新型城市的文化基础才可能真正夯实。

Creativity is one of the essential quality of human beings,and also a kind of practice peculiar to human beings, which is endowed with the cultural connotation of man＇s way of living. As a cultural category,creative culture is a culture pattern focued on creative activities,which refers to value sensibility and movement orientation whereby peopole understand,research and promote culture. Culture is a city＇s soul,so construction of a creative city requests the nurturing of a creative culture. Only when creative culture begins to prevail as the mainstream culture can the foundation supporting a creative city be strengthened.
