Research on Zhushan Shadow Play

竹山皮影主要流传于鄂西北竹山一带民间,是一种综合性的传统民间艺术。本文采取田野调查的方法,通过对湖北竹山皮影著名艺人李茂春的跟踪调研,对其生活和工艺作一定的了解,折射出竹山皮影的生存现状,并总结竹山皮影的制作工艺和艺术特点。

Zhushan Shadow Play,popular in Northwestern Hubei Province,is a kind of comprehensive traditional folk art. The thesis,by investigating Mr. Li Maochun,the shadow performer,has some understanding of his life and crafts,reflecting the current situation of Zhushan Shadow Play and summarizing the crafts and features of making them.
