《别离辞·节哀》是英国玄学派诗人约翰·邓恩(John Donne)最有代表性的作品。在诗歌格律上,邓恩一反伊丽莎白诗歌谐和柔美的乐调,运用"不协律"的技巧,又把日常口语大量引入诗中,采用口头谈话方式,使诗显得亲切而富于戏剧性。

A Valediction：Forbidding Mourning is John Donne＇s representative poem of Metaphysics. Instead of applying the traditional harmonious rhyme,John Donne uses his unique form and metaphor which is called conceit. John is a creator of both poetic meter and form. In this poem,he uses variations on rhyme,foot,and length which combine meaning and forms to interpret his different conceit.
