宋代以前,菊花没有具体的名字,统称为"菊"或"菊花",菊花的命名始于宋代。文人的菊事活动始于陶渊明,在唐宋时期已成为文人的日常文化活动之一,在明清时期成为文人雅集的重要内容。菊花题材的绘画出现在晚唐,繁荣于明清。菊花的命名与文人的菊事活动具有深刻的文化内涵。

Before Song Dynasty,there was no specific meaning for chrysanthemum,except for ＂Chrysanthemum＂ or ＂Chrysanthemum flower＂.The naming of chrysanthemum started from Song Dynasty,but the chrysanthemum activity of ancient Chinese intellectuals came from Tao Yuan-ming.During Tang and Song Dynasties,it had become one of the intellectual＇s daily cultural activities.In Ming and Qing Dynasties,it was an important part of intellectuals＇ gathering.Chrysanthemum theme paintings appeared in late Tang Dynasty and became prosperous in Ming and Qing Dynasties.There were profound cultural connotations for the naming of Chrysanthemum and intellectuals＇ chrysanthemum activities.
