An Analysis of the Political Views by the National Essence Intellectuals in the Late Qing Dynasty

晚清以降,知识分子非常重视学术与国家政治的关系。国粹派诸君通过弘扬国粹、阐发学术的方式宣传种族革命,竭力标榜华夏裔胄、炎黄子孙,希望藉此激发国民的民族情感。客观而论国粹派手中的"国粹"其实是"学术反满"的政治手段,国粹派以保存国粹、复兴古学的口号相号召,使清末的政治革命打上了浓重的民族主义色彩。

In the late Qing dynasty,the intellectuals paid great attention to the relationship between the academic and state politics.The national essence intellectuals,by way of promoting national essence and of elucidating academic knowledge,disseminated racial revolution and praised the Chinese and their descendants,hoping to inspire people＇s emotion of nationalism.The ＂national essence＂ in the hands of national essence intellectuals is actually the political means of ＂academic anti-Manchu＂ by means of conservation of the Chinese essence and Chinese Renaissance.They made the political revolution in the late Qing dynasty marked with a strong color of nationalism.
