我国民办高校尚处在规范、提高与完善的探索发展期,因此在探索的基础上,研究和借鉴发达国家私立高校的发展特点和经验,就显得十分必要。针对私立高等教育的法律法规、经费来源、办学特色等几个问题,选取美国、日本私立大学先进国家进行比较研究,以期能对我国民办高校的可持续发展有所借鉴。

The private colleges in China are still in the period of development to be standardized,upgraded,and perfected.Therefore,it is now necessary to study the developmental features and experiences of the private colleges in the developed countries.The present paper makes a comparison between the American and Japanese private colleges with a focus on laws and regulations on private higher education,financial resources and characteristics of school running with the purpose of getting some lessons and enlightenments to know how to develop sustainablly the private colleges in China.
