In the process of foreign language teaching,the issue of fluency vs.accuracy has long been the focus of controversy in the linguistic circles.The strategies of error correction that teachers employ in oral classes directly influence the fluent expression of language learners.The paper analyzes the ways of getting rid of ＇Dumb English＇ from three aspects： causes of errors,attitudes of teachers towards errors,and the strategies of correcting errors.
