摘要
周馥在长达数十年的仕宦生涯中,密切关注中国教育问题,一方面,竭力主张改革传统的教育制度,废除科举教育制度;另一方面,大力兴办新式教育,在山东和江苏等地创办新式学校,培养各类新式人才。周馥认真研究、努力解决晚清教育问题,体现其高度的责任意识,有较强的现实意义。
In his decades-long official career,Zhou Fu gave close attention to Chinese education.On the one hand,he strongly advocated reform of traditional educational system and abolition of imperial educational system;on the other hand,he vigorously set up modern education and set up new schools in Shandong Province and Jiangsu Province to train various new talents.Zhou Fu made a serious research and strived to solve the educational problem of late Qing Dynasty,which reflects his high sense of responsibility and has strong practical significance.
