传宗接代:农民生活意义的一项基本命题——以湘南宗族性村落“纯女户”为表述对象

Carrying on the Ancestral Line:a Fundamental Proposition of Peasants' Life Contents——"Families with only Daughters" in South Hunan Village Clans as a Case

农民的生活需要由意义来填补和勾连,在传统中国农村,"传宗接代"是农民生活意义及其生命价值的一项基本命题。子孙成群的农民家庭往往欣欣向荣,充满希望与激情,并且严格恪守村落的伦理和规范;没有生育男嗣后裔的男子则因缺乏生活的意义而灰暗无光。湘南宗族性村落中"纯女户"的生活状态和生命体验为我们探讨传统农民的生活意义开启一了扇实证研究的门窗。

The life of peasants needs to fill with contents. In a traditional Chinese village, ＂carrying on the ancestral line＂ is a fundamental proposition of peasants＇ life contents and values. Families with groups of sons and grandsons are looked as full of hope and passion, and the traditional rural ethics and regulations will be obeyed strictly in such families. Those men with no male heirs, however, are regarded as a shame because they have no contents in their lives. To discuss the subject of traditional peasants＇ life contents, ＂families with only daughters＂ in south Hunan village clans can provide us a good case study.
