Making Use of the Advantage of Library Resources to Improve Students' Information Quality

为了提高大学生的生存能力和竞争能力,适应信息社会发展的需要,作为信息情报知识传播中心的图书馆,理应承担起对学生进行信息素质教育的重任,改革并加强文献检索课教学。充分利用本馆的资源、技术设备、人员、环境等优势,做好学生的信息素质教育工作。

Human-beings have stepped into an era of information society and knowledge-based economy. As a result, knowledge and information have became main resources of social development. And the development of knowledge-based economy depends on the accumulation and the use of knowledge and information. In order to improve the viability and competitiveness of students, and also help them meet the needs of the information social development, as the center of dissemination of information, intelligence and knowl- edge among colleges and universities, local library should hold the responsibility of education in informa- tional quality of students. At the same time, the library should reform and strengthen the teaching in documentation retrieval course. Librarians owe to make full use of resources, technical equipments and advantages of staffs and environment, in order to do a good job in educating students.
