Discourse analysis and text linguistics have attracted our attention to the illocutionary and perlocutionary effects that may underline the microstructures of the texts,to which translators should remain sensitive enough so as not to lose the function of pragmatic style in translation.This article explores,by using a descriptive approach and exemplifying,the poetic functions of punctuation marks in fictional texts and their translation.
