过去70年里,美国校车之所以不断发生改变,主要是因为相关标准法规变得更加严格。 校车标准十分完备 美国联邦机动车辆安全标准（FMVSS）中包含了多条关于校车的专门规定,其中多数是在1977年4月1日生效的,迄今为止仍然具有效力。以下仅举出部分具有代表性的条款。

In the past 70 years, North American has constantly improved the safety and reliability of school buses accordingly because of more and more strictly regularized rules in this concern. FMVSS has many items and chapters specially focusing on school buses among which most had been in effective in April 1, 1977.
