THE POWERBUILDER'S APPLICATION IN INTERNET／ INTRANET

随着Ｉｎｔｅｒｎｅｔ／Ｉｎｔｒａｎｅｔ的发展和万维网（ｗｗｗ）的出现，传统的客户机／服务器方式（ｃ／ｓ）逐渐向浏览器一Ｗｅｂ服务器一数据库（ｂｗｄ）方式过渡。后者与前者相比易学易用，操作性强，可扩充和维护性好。文章主要就Ｐｏｗｅｒｂｕｉｌｄｅｒ在互联网和企业内部同应用开发中，可采用的几种方式：ＷＥＢ．ＰＢ，Ｐｌｕｇ．ｉｎ和ＡｃｔｉｖｅＸ等从基本原理与交互过程，开发方法，主要特点和不足作了较详细的说明。在具体应用中，根据需求和使用环境状况灵活选择。

With the development of internet/intranet and the appearance of world wide web(www ), traditional Client/Server (b/w) model is gradually transforming to browser-Websever-database (bwd) model. Compared with the former,the latter is easy to use and operateand has better maintain and scallness. This article mainly discusses methods of using Powerbuilder to develop internet/intranet applications, which include WEB. PB, Plug. in, and ActiveX. Each method is expounded from its principle and procession, development procedure,to main characteristics and drawbacks, together with examples. Based on the demand andworking environment, an adaptive method can be chosen.
