摘要
埃伦·格拉斯哥是美国南方文艺复兴的先锋人物,也是最早采用现实主义手法表现美国南方社会的作家之一。综述国内外对埃伦.格拉斯哥近二十年来的评论和研究,指出国外的研究主要是从不同视角对格拉斯哥的作品进行解读;国内急切需要展开格拉斯哥重要作品的译介工作,让更多的读者和评论者了解格拉斯哥,从而研究格拉斯哥。
Ellen Glasgow is a pioneer of the Southern Renaissance of the USA,who is the first to express southern American society through realism.This paper reviews the study on Ellen Glasgow in the past two decades,pointing out that the international study focuses on the interpretation of her works while the Chinese study the translation of her works.
