Social Memory and Identification of Ethnic Groups

通过对族群起源的建构性解释,阐明了潭溪三大族群——土家、苗家、客家之间的两种关系模式:同胞三兄弟和分化的三兄弟;前者隐喻着三大族群共生共存、平等竞争的族群关系,后者则隐喻着三大族群间的不平等关系。

Through an explication of the constructiveness of the origins of ethnic groups,this paper illustrates two relationship models between Tujia,Miao and Hakka in Tanxi,namely triplet brothers and three separately living brothers.The former means their co-existence while the latter denotes the unequal relations between them.
