肯尼迪遇刺这一历史事件及其文化记忆对于德里罗的小说创作以及美国后现代社会"认识型"转变有重大影响。德里罗在《天秤星座》中并没有简单地把奥斯瓦尔德描写成一个偏执狂,而是通过剖析奥斯瓦尔德精神成长和心理变化的轨迹,探究奥斯瓦尔德竭力建构自身主体性和身份认同的思想历程。德里罗以精湛的艺术成就对后现代历史"认识型"的范式转变以及后现代主体性、自我和社会身份认同等问题进行了深刻的探索和思考。

This paper discusses how historical memory of the Kennedy assassination exerts a great influence on Don DeLillo's writing and makes paradigmatic turn of episteme in postmodern American society.Lee Oswarld is not described as a paranoia by DeLillo,but as a symbol of the crisis and contradiction between self-identity and collective-identity in America since the so-called 'turn of century' historical event.DeLillo probes into how ideology interpolates Oswarld as a historical subject,as well as a concrete anti-hero of tragedy who made the American tragedy.I argue that DeLillo thinks long and hard enough about many motifs as postmodern subjectivity,contradiction between self and social identity,relation of reality and representation and so on in Libra and his other writings.
