The Yangzi Petrochemical Company （YPC）, after having been utilizing the LPG raffinate from the aromatics unit and propane from the refinery as the pyrolysis feedstocks, had successfully delivered tailgas in the late 2009 to the ethylene unit at the Olefins Plant to function as the pyrolysis feedstock. Currently the Olefins Plant accepts daily more than 300 tons of tailgas from the aromatics unit to effectively realize the lightening of ethylene cracker feed along with further increasing the ethylene yield.
