台台尔石窟调查简报

Investigation of Taitai＇ er Grottoes

2009年8月，新疆龟兹研究院对台台尔石窟进行了考察。该石窟有洞窟22个，洞窟类型包括中心柱窟、方形窟、僧房窟和龛窟等。洞窟组合有两类。壁画题材包括佛教故事、天相图、佛、菩萨、供养人、装饰纹样等。依据石窟形制及题材内容、风格等判断，台台尔石窟的年代应在龟兹石窟的繁盛期至晚期前段。

Xinjing Kucha Research Academe made a survey of Taitai＇ er grottoes in August, 2009. There are 22 caves, which can be classified as four types： central pillar cave, square cave ,monastic cave and niche cave. And they can be divided into two groups. The Paintings are about Buddhist story, paintings of celestial figures, Buddha, Bodhisattva, benefactor and some decorative patterns were found, too. The time of Taitai＇ er grottoes is estimatedly from the period of flourishing to the initial stage of later period of Kucha caves according to cave type, themes and style of paintings.
