After rounds of delay,a notice of subsidiary to private purchases of new energy cars was coreleased on June 1 by the Ministry of Finance,the Ministry of Science and Technology,the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology,and the National Development and Reform Commission.Purchase of every plug-in car could receive as high as RMB50,000(USD 7383)of subsidiary,while purchase of every pure electric car as high as RMB60,000( USD8,859).Hybrid cars are regarded as energy-saving cars,and the purchase could receive RMB3,000(USD442).It now seems that electric vehicle will become the focus of future development of the Chinese government.A McKinsy report estimated that China's electric car market will reach RMB700 billion(USD103 billion)to RMB1.5 trillion(USD221 billion)by 2030,and USD80 billion to USD120 billion for the electric car markets of North America,Europe and Asia at the same time.A ccording to previous experience,a new technology will take 15 to 20 years to occupy 10% market share,and another 10 to 15 years to cover the rest of market share.But facing the challenges of traditional cars and the huge temptation of the electric automobiles,the governments,enterprises and individuals are taking moves to bet on the future of vehicles.With technical challenges on the performance,cost and safety of auto battery,China still hopes to gain an upper hand in the global competition.
