June 28,2010,director Feng Xiaogang's new film'The Great Tangshan Earthquake'premiered for the media.From this day until the official release on July 28th Feng will be jumping through the hoops of the media circus to promote his film,taking an average of 5 hours per day for interviews.Some were surprised that he had the patience for so many interviews,to which he replied that he had no other choice,being that promoting the movie was included in his contract with the Huayi Brothers. As China's most successful commercial film director,he refuses to be labeled as a businessman.'1 am a commercial movie director, but I'm not businessman.'But he added:'I am very willing to talk business.The Film Industry was originally was on a downturn,but suddenly in China the industry has taken an upturn.During this transition period,I played a role as both a promoter and pioneer.'
