2009年,张爱玲的又一部长篇小说《小团圆》在作家过世15年之后隆重推出,被誉为"张爱玲的又一部巅峰杰作"。但认真阅读后,会发现其文学价值并不高,存在着叙事线索混乱,叙述文字生涩,情节平淡等败笔。其原因和作者生存空间有限、小说题材狭窄,以及文学内涵提升不够有关。巅峰之说不过是商业炒作罢了。

In 2009,Small Reunion,a novel by Zhang Ailing,was solemnly published 15 years after the death of its author,and was praised as ＂another paramount works by Zhang Ailing＂. Nevertheless,it is regretful to discern after careful reading that the novel is poor in literary value and stuffed with defects like chaotic narrative,unnatural expression,prosaic plots,etc.,which is closely linked with the limited living space of the author,her narrow subject-matter in novel creation,and the insufficiency of great literary accomplishments. As such,the claim that the novel is a paramount one is nothing but an act of commercialization.
