On the Studies of Jiang You-gao’s Archaic Chinese Phonology

作为清代古音学研究的集大成者,江有诰在古韵分部、阴入相配等方面做出了重大贡献。这得益于他对材料的广泛占有和对前人研究成果的总结吸收,并在方法上积极探索从而做到"后出转精"。当然,受时代、个人的局限,其古音研究在韵部分类上未能至于尽善,未能形成阴阳人相配的韵部系统。

As a comprehensive expression of Ancient phonology in the Qing Dynasty, Jiang You-gao had made great contribution on time categories and agreeing with yin-ru. He did that very well because his owning data extensively, suming up predecessores ＇ research findings, and searching in method actively. Of course, limited by times and individual, his research on ancient phonlogy wasn＇t very well On rime categories, and didn＇t form a rime system of agreeing with yin-yang-ru.
