谈大学英语教学中的习语学习

摘要 大学英语课程不仅是一门语言基础知识课程,也是拓宽知识、了解世界文化的素质教育课程。习语是语言文化发展的结晶。本文从语言与文化、习语与语言的关系入手,探讨了习语的起源与发展。在大学英语教学中有意识地进行习语教学,使学生既能学到语言,又能学到文化。通过加深对英语民族文化的了解来提高跨文化的语言交际能力,顺应大学英语教学改革的发展与要求。 The college English course is not only a basic language course, but also a course aimed at all- round development of students which can broaden the students' mind and help them learn the culture worldwide. Idiom is the crystallization of the development of culture. This essay starts with the relationship between idiom and culture and the relationship between idiom and language. It inquires into the origin and development of idiom. Teaching and learning idioms consciously in college English teaching and learning can help the students learn both the language and culture. The crosscultural communicative competence can be promoted through the deeper learning of the English culture and the demands of the college English teaching reform will be met.
