摘要
以霍桑的《教长的黑面纱》的为例,通过分析短篇小说中面纱的象征意义和教长的形象,来说明在文学教学过程中,教师应该特别关注文本的不确定性。正是文本的不确定性,启发学生更深入的理解文本,有助于培养学生的创新能力。
This paper aims at illustrating, by taking the example of Hawthorne's The Minister's Black Veil and by analyzing the veil's symbolic meaning and the minister's image in the short fictions, that teachers should especially concern the uncertainty of the text in the process of literature teaching, for it is just the uncertainty of the text that will arouse student's deeper understanding towards the text and be conducive to develop their innovation ability.
