本文简要地介绍了北京国际金融大厦的构思和概况。保持和发展原有城市格局，形成有序的良性发展的城市结构是个体建筑必须首先考虑的问题，也是本设计的主导思想之一。在尊重整体格局的前提下，努力创造有个性、富有时代感的建筑是设计的另一个主导思想。

This paper briefly introduces the conception and design of Beijing International Finance Mansion. The primary concern for an individual building and the guiding principle of the design of such a building should be to maintain and develop the original urban setup and to constitute an orderly and well progressing urban structure. Another guiding ideology for design is to create works of character and modernity on the precondition of unity.
