摘要
越来越多的教师在听力教学中利用配有字幕的外语视频材料进行教学,然而听力理解本身就是一个极其复杂的认知过程,涉及听力材料、学习者、使用策略等诸多因素。字幕的加入使得听力理解认知过程更加复杂,其使用效果认识也往往限于教师和学生的感性认识。结合听力理解的相关理论、国内外研究的实证结果,对字幕在听力理解中的使用效果进行分析;并结合其他因素,探讨字幕在使用中需要考虑的问题。
An increasing number of language instructors are employing captioned videos in listening class.However,the cognitive process of listening comprehension is,by all means,of great complex,involving many factors relating to listening materials,learners and strategy use as well.The use of caption adds to its complexity,with the result that its effects are largely formed from teachers and students′ intuition.Therefore,the purpose of this paper is to investigate the pedagogical effects of caption on listening comprehension in the light of related SLA theories and empirical research findings;also,the issues concerning the use of caption in instruction will be discussed.
