隐喻篇章多维分析探析——以“一只不聒噪而又耐心十足的蜘蛛”为例

On Multi-dimensional Analysis of Metaphoric Texts——Taking "A Noiseless Patient Spider" for Example

本文首先从衔接、语境、连贯、隐含意义推理及批评这五个维度探索篇章分析的程序,然后对该程序进行局部修改应用于隐喻篇章分析,并以惠特曼《草叶集》中的一首＂一只不聒噪而又耐心十足的蜘蛛＂为例做详细分析。这五个维度可能顺序发生,其中有些维度可能会交叉反复,而整个过程是关联原则观照下的认知推理过程。

Taking for example the poem ＂A Noiseless Patient Spider＂ from Walt Whitman＇s Leaves of Grass,this paper looks into the procedures of textual metaphor analysis from five dimensions： cohesion,context,coherence,metaphoric implication inference and critique.These dimensions are modified and applied to the analysis of metaphoric texts.This paper finds that these five dimensions may occur in the above sequence,with possible simultaneous appearance or repetition of some of them.The whole process is a cognitive inferential process in which the principle of relevance works all the time.
