On Increase of Semantic Vocabularies and Their Translation

转义词的词义变化与人们的认知、联想能力有密切相关。其词义以中心意义为基础通过隐喻或转喻的映射而共有的某些属性向外不断扩展形成了意义语链。本文依据认知词汇学的范畴化理论和认知语义学内涵意义理论,论述转义词以中心意义为本意通过认知、比喻和联想的方式,经济、高效扩展语义网络中内涵意义,灵活准确地体现词汇语用意义而实现其交际价值。

The changes of conversion meaning have a close relation with cognition and association. The growth of vocabulary meaning forms semantic chains of meaning based on centre meaning that shares some common natures reflected by metaphor and conversion. The paper discuses the semantic expansion through transferred meaning, metaphor and association from perspective of categorization of cognitive lexicology and semantic connotation in order to enlarge economically and efficiently the connotative meaning of semantic chains but also to embody lively pragmatic and translation approaches in communication.
