Considering the urgent situation of China ＇ s IPv4 address space, this paper discusses the importance and urgent necessity of beginning the commercial transition to IPv6. It then focuses on the status of the transition to IPv6, support requirements, business entry point, network evolution strategy, and main challenges. It provides a number of strategic thoughts on Next Generation Internet development.
