谈中国建筑本土化道路——从贝克的建筑得到的启示

DISCUSSION ON LOCALIZATION ROAD OF CHINESE ARCHTECTURES: SOME ENLIGHTENMENTS FROM BAKER'S WORKS

当前在建筑的本土化方面存在着一些误区:重视形式而忽视当地气候和自然环境对形式的影响;不懂得如何真实地表达材料;一味追求豪华气派,而不太关心普通人的需要。在这些方面,贝克的建筑可以给我们一些启示。

There are some misconceptions in understanding of vernacular architetcures. Attention is paid to the form but the influences of local climate and natural environment are ignored; it is not understood how to express truly in the choice of materials and the method of using them. A splendid style is pursued but little care is given to the demands of ordinary people. Some enlightenments can be obtained from Baker＇s works.
