On Jankya.Robal Dorjie's Translation Idea

章嘉·若比多吉在翻译《大藏经》的实践中总结了经验,撰写了规范统一译文词语的《正字———贤者之源》,书中提出了翻译者应具备的素质,翻译的标准,增译、减译、转译、辅助译法等翻译技巧。他在继承和发扬藏族传统翻译学说的基础上,提出了藏族翻译史上最早的译者素质问题,也在藏族翻译理论的指导模式上第一次从传统的"内向"理论模式走向了"外向"理论模式。

Jankya.Robal Dorjie,through his translation of the Great Buddhism Scriptures,summarizes the translation idea by writing the book Orthography-the Origin of Sages which is for unifying the translation words.In the book,he presents translators＇ basic qualities,standards of translation,and translation skills like adding,omitting,transforming and auxiliary translation,etc.On the basis of inheriting and developing traditional Tibetan translation theory,he first brings out the issue of translators＇ quality in Tibetan translation history,also transferring Tibetan translation theory pattern from the traditional ＂introversive＂ mode to the ＂extroversive＂ one.
