摘要 教材在英语教学中的作用是勿庸置疑的,面对众多的高职英语教材,如何挑选适合的教材无疑具有现实意义。该文先根据McDonough和Shaw的理论,对教材进行外部评估,然后采用Hutchinson和Waters提出的对照法,根据教材需体现大纲要求的原则对市面主要的几种高职教材作进一步的分析评估。 Materials play a significant role in English teaching and learning,so how to evaluate and adapt a suitable one in a variety of materials is of great value.According to the theory of McDonough Shaw,the author takes the external evaluation as the first step,and then evaluates several main Technical English textbooks from the perspective of the relationship between syllabus and materials.Taking the aims and the requirement of the syllabus as the subjective analysis and the features of the two of the Technical English textbooks as the objective analysis,the paper adopts the matching method proposed by Hutchinson and Waters to compare these two analyses and finally presents the evaluation.
