The research and control of web plate crack were introduced about the large type beam blank.According to the influence of the special shape of beam blank on steel solidification,the process feature of large type beam blank was stated,and the reasons for web plate crack were discussed deeply.Based on the characteristics of large type beam blank in Laiwu Steel,the effective measures were carried out,and the satisfying results were obtained for controlling the crack.
