Criticism and Reconstruction on Foreign Language Test For Post-graduate Entrance Examination in China

本文针对我国现行硕士研究生招生外语全国统一考试中存在的考核能力结构不够清晰,考试分数难以有效反映学生水平等问题,提出改革与重构硕士研究生招生外语考试政策的必要性。建议由专业考试机构联合招生单位,开展对硕士研究生外语能力结构的调查、分析,并以此为基础进行命题,设置形式多样的能力测试。同时,废除现行全国统考、统一划定分数线的做法,将考试分数的使用权交给招生单位。

This paper proposes the necessity and feasibility for reform of foreign language test for post-graduate entrance examination in China to solve the problems of the unclear competence framework of the test and the impossibilities of assessing students＇ language ability of the test scores.It is suggested that professional test institutions,along with the colleges and institutions undertake the survey and analysize on the competence model of the post-graduate students in China,and then design test syllabus and write test items for various necessary competence assessment,while the national unified test and entrance score line be quitted and endow the right to use the test score to the colleges and institutions.
