明蒙朝贡体制是明代朝贡体制的重要组成部分,是明廷处理与蒙古之间关系的重要工具,也是明蒙交往的最好见证。有明一代,明蒙朝贡体制长期运行,这期间的明蒙交往常有和平往来,少有冲突与战争。而土木之变即是在明蒙朝贡体制顺利发展到高峰时期爆发的一次战争,它是一次偶然事件,与明蒙民族矛盾无关。

The tributary system between the Ming dynasty and Mongolia is an important part of the whole tributary system in the Ming Period.It is a significant tool for dealing with the relationship between the Ming Court and Mongolia,and it is a testimony of their close intercourse.In the period of Ming,the tributary system continued working.There were more peaceful intercourses than wars in this period.The Tumu War is an accident at the top of the development of the tributary system;however,it has no relationship with national contradiction.
