On CPC's Policy towards Intellectuals in the First Seven Years of New China

新中国成立头七年既是新中国社会急剧变革的时期,也是党的知识分子政策不断调整的时期。党的中心工作的不断变化是其政策调整的直接原因,党和政府关于知识分子阶级属性和政治归属的二重性判断是其政策不断变化的根源所在。党在与知识分子的互动中实现了社会的有效整合与意识形态的重构。在这一过程中,知识分子积极性的发挥至关重要,它既关涉到现代化的实现,也是衡量党的领导水平和领导艺术的一个重要标志。

The first seven years of new China is not only a period of rapid social changes,but also the period of CPC＇s constant adjustment of its policy towards intellectual.The change of CPC＇s central task is the direct cause of the adjustment.But CPC＇s dual-judgment on the class nature and political affiliation of intellectuals is the root cause of the adjustment.CPC＇s interaction with intellectuals achieved the effective integration of society and ideological reconstruction.During that period of policy adjustment,CPC most concerned about whether the policy could bring the intellectuals’ initiative into full play,which is not only closely related to the realization of four modernizations but also an important issue to test the CPC＇s leading ability and leading arts.
