This paper analyzes Chopin＇s subversion of this male form and style by depicting the traditionally marginalized woman and giving her subjective centrality in Her letters. Further, Chopin has exposed the workings of patriarchy society that kills individuality in-both women and men-by forcing them to subscribe to the ideal. In doing so, Chopin moves well beyond imitation into the realm of her revolutionary feminist originality.
