摘要
目的人类肝脏蛋白质组计划(HLPP)的顺利实施产出了大量的肝脏蛋白质组数据,这也是迄今最大的人类组织器官的蛋白质组数据。为帮助科学家方便有效地利用这些数据,我们开发了人类肝脏蛋白质组数据库Liverbase。方法 Liverbase基于MySQL、JSP、JavaBean和JDBC等技术而开发。主要针对数据库系统结构、数据处理及注释、数据库系统功能及使用三方面展开并进行详细的阐述。结果 Liverbase的主要功能是展示、管理和检索人类肝脏蛋白质组计划鉴定到的蛋白质及其功能注释信息。对每个鉴定到的蛋白质提供了全面的注释信息,整合了mRNA/蛋白质丰度信息。结论 Liverbase具有简捷实用、易于查询和访问、可扩展性好以及便于维护等特点。数据库的访问地址是http://liverbase.hupo.org.cn。
Objective With the progress in Human Liver Proteome Project(HLPP),a large amount of liver proteomic data has been generated.To facilitate the utilization of these data,the Liverbase,a database application system of human liver proteome was developed.The overall objective of Liverbase is to provide a unique public resource for the life science community by providing comprehensive functional annotation of proteins implicated in liver physiology and pathology.Methods Liverbase was developed based on technologies of MySQL,JSP,JavaBean,JDBC etc.Results In this first version of Liverbase,the data sets include the human liver proteome(6788 proteins)and transcriptome(11 205 significantly expressed genes)from the Chinese Human Liver Proteome Project(CNHLPP).Liverbase users could utilize all the information to conduct systematic biology research on the liver.This is the only liver protein database that incorporates mRNA/protein abundance information and the largest proteome database for human tissue/organs.Conclusion User-friendly web interfaces are designed to easily query the database and access various features.Liverbase is publicly available at http://liverbase.hupo.org.cn.
