全球化是指人类从以往各个地域、民族和国家之间彼此分隔的原始闭关自守状态走向一个全球性社会的变迁过程,它可区分为技术层面、社会关系层面和价值观念层面,并表现出进程加速化、内容多样化、方式内在化、效应双重化等当代特点。当代全球化在人与世界关系的各个方面都引发或加剧了一系列全球问题,因而出现了各种形式的反全球化运动。而当代思想界对所谓"普遍价值"、"普遍伦理"的探寻,为解决当代的全球问题、走出全球化的困境提供了一条重要思路。

Globalization refers to the changing process in which human beings are on the way from the primitive conditions where different areas, nations and countries closed themselves to the outside, to a global society. It can be classified at technological levels, social relation levels and values concept levels. It is also characterized with acceleration in process, diversity in content, internalization in mode, and duality in effect. Contemporary globalization has created or exacerbated a series of global issues, thus brought about various forms of anti-globalization movements. The inquiries about ＂ general values＂ or ＂ general ethics＂ in contemporary intellectual circles provide an important train of thought to address contemporary global issues and cast off the predicament of globalization.
